In this episode of Office Hours we discuss:
- Tight bodies are the most typical human bodies.
- Your ability to do advanced poses has little to nothing to do with what’s going on inside yourself.
- Having a tight body is not a bad thing because when we have physical resistance, we pay attention. Without resistance, there is no letting go into the present moment.
- Life is not here to make us happy; it is here to wake us up. When the world pushes back, that is the moment we practice asana, literal or metaphoric.
- Asana is part of a yoga practice to keep the body healthy, to begin to understand how to focus, and to remember to pay attention to sensation, because sensation only lives in the moment.
